About pattern

Fausta shorts are the matching piece to the Fausta bralette, featuring the same clean, minimal aesthetic. There is no bulky waistband, no drawstring, and no hemmed edges — just 2×2 ribbing that gently hugs the body and moves with it. Carefully placed short-row shaping creates a flattering and comfortable fit by adding room at the back and reducing excess fabric between the thighs.

Fausta shorts is worked from the top down. First, body is worked and stitches are increased at the center back and center front. Back of the shorts is shaped using short rows. Then, legs are separated by casting on additional stitches at the crotch, using provisional cast-on technique. Legs are shaped with short rows and then finished off with regular bind-off in pattern.
