About pattern
This bralette combines a clean square neckline with subtle bust shaping for a flattering, contoured fit. Slim straps complete the minimal silhouette, while the ribbed fabric adds stretch and structure.
Sizing
The top is designed to have approximately 40% of negative ease. There are two sizing options you have to choose for this bralette: underbust and cup size.
Underbust sizes: 1 (2, 3, 4) (5, 6, 7) (8, 9, 10, 11) that fits underbust of approximately 64-68 (69-73, 74-78, 79-84) (85-89, 90-94, 95-99) (100-104, 105-109, 110-114, 115-119) cm / 26 (28, 30, 32) (34, 36, 38) (40, 42, 44, 46) inches.
Cup sizes: A (B, C, D) (E, F, G) when bust measurement minus underbust measurement is approximately 9-11 (12-14, 15-16, 17-19) (20-21, 22-24, 25-27) cm / 4 (5, 6, 7) (8, 9, 10) inches.
Gauge
42 sts x 36 rounds in 2by2 rib stitch on a 3 mm (US2.5) needles = 10 x 10 cm (4 x 4 inches), measured after blocking
Needles
3 mm (US 2.5) / 60 cm (24 inches) or 80 cm (32 inches) circular needles
any 2.5 mm (US 1.5) needle (only for binding off)

Level of difficulty
medium or 3/5 or advanced beginner. Required skills: recognising knit and purl stitches, picking up stitches, decreasing, knitting in the round.
Workflow
The top is knitted from the bottom up. You begin with the underbust band, worked in the round. Next comes the front flap (the lower part of the bust), which is worked flat. The bust gussets are then shaped in two parts: first in the round, and then flat after binding off the back stitches. After that, the front is bound off, leaving live stitches at each side for the straps. Finally, the straps are worked and attached to the back.
